Deceptive packaging, waste of money

The box is HUGE. I just glanced at it and decided it would be perfect for the family for Easter. Everyone dug in, the chocolates were OK, nothing to write home about. As the first, higher level disappeared it was OK, so we thought, because there was another level below. When we finished the first layer and removed the divider, we were shocked and really kind of angered to see the second layer was just a spacer of cardboard. This was NOT a good buy at all. The amount of chocolates contained in it would fit in to a package one fifth the size of the box. Yes, I am aware I should have read the ounces of chocolate contained in the box before purchasing; that part is certainly my fault. But my point is that Whitman knew EXACTLY what they were doing when they decided to market such a huge box with so few chocolates in it. In today's economy we are seeing more and more of this type of chicanery by those in marketing, so it truly is "buyer beware" when you are out shopping.

I agree with the other reviewer that the Whitman's site has the same items at a better price. Usually Amazon does better than the actual manufacturer, but not in this case. I'm glad I read the reviews before ordering.

Small amount of Chocolate

I was disappointed by this box of chocolates, Normally you find two layers and for the price you would expect such. All that is in the box is a single layer of chocolate propped up by a chunk of Card board. For the money I spent on this box I would have expected more from this company.
