If you like caramel mixed with chocolate, you should enjoy these caramel squares. My son loves caramel so we got these to try for the holidays. My favorite is the dark chocolate with caramel inside. The caramel is lightly layered inside the squares, not gooey but silky. Ghiradelli makes very smooth rich chocolate, so the combination is wonderful. I love their plain dark chocolate squares, but these are fun for a change. They are attractively wrapped and fun to put out for company and parties for an after-dinner treat.

Ghiradelli usually has incredible holiday offerings and this year is no exception. The milk chocolate square melds (and melts) smoothly with the caramel with neither flavor overwhelming the other. The pumpkin spice caramel is the best version of spiced caramel I have tasted. It is not overpoweringly sweet and has definite hints of allspice, cinnamon that play well with the milk chocolate. The third of the trio, dark chocolate is not quite ready for prime time in my opinion. While the dark chocolate is delicious, it could be a little sweeter so it would play better with the sweet caramel. The flavors are a little jarring as they are now.

These were AWFUL!!! They were cracked and the caramel was oozing out of the candies. I was making graduation hat candies and could not use 3/4 of these!!! I personally think I should get my money back but how do you send opened candy back...I will NEVER buy chocolate again from Amazon as I am not sure if it was to hot the day they delievered it or what.
