Everything this company touches turns to flavorless, waxy chalk. This company seems to be running on a pure-profit scheme of hyper-inflated prices and, while all their products are aesthetically appealing, this actually counts against the final product as the taste and texture is so far beyond disappointing for the price that I actually came here to write negative reviews on their products to warn customers that their money is better spent on better-tasting chocolate. If you just must have chocolate from Vermont, take a trip to Stowe and look for Laughing Moon--same price range...and THEIR chocolate is heavenly. If you want seriously delicious chocolate for a pretty good price, look for green mountain chocolates--recipes in Swiss Chocolate from a White House Pastry Chef of 20 years...also founded in Vermont, though now they're in Mass. Shame :/ When Lake Champlain purchased the retail outlet from Green Mountain Chocolates, they switched all the fantastic chocolate out, dumped their terrifyingly high-priced brown wax-chalk into the same glass displays. Walking in without knowing what had happened was like being a character in a Twilight Zone episode, or a contestant on a malevolent Japanese game show. I once accidentally paid 28 dollars for half a pound of what they assured me were truffles but was actually a box of sadness and regret.
